Decide what will be observed.
LION FOCUS · CYBER EXPOSURE PLATFORM · CTEM
Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), from scoping to mobilization.
CTEM is not a tool. It is a continuous program for deciding what to fix first. Lion Focus was built to sustain that cycle.
WHAT CTEM IS
A program, not a product.
Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) is a model for managing exposures continuously. Instead of treating every scanner, pentest or Threat Intelligence feed as a separate list of findings, CTEM organizes all of it into one cycle: scope, discover, prioritize, validate and mobilize.
The question CTEM answers is not "how many problems do we have?" but "what do we do first?". That is why it depends on context: exploitability, real exposure and business impact, not severity alone.

THE FIVE STAGES
The CTEM cycle, stage by stage.
The sequence helps explain the process. In practice the stages do not live apart: each feeds the next, and the cycle starts again.
Scoping
Discovery
Find the assets and exposures within that scope.
Prioritization
Reduce the volume to what actually matters.
Validation
Look for evidence that the exploitable really is.
Mobilization
Hand it to whoever fixes it, follow up, verify.

CTEM, ASM AND VULNERABILITY MANAGEMENT
They do not replace each other. They have to talk.
Vulnerability Management works on identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in the organization's assets. Attack Surface Management (ASM) keeps visibility over the assets and exposures that make up the attack surface, especially from an external perspective.
CTEM organizes the wider approach: it runs through discovery, prioritization, validation and mobilization, and uses what ASM, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence and offensive validation bring into the same cycle.
Each piece of information changes the decision a little. That is why Lion Focus does not ask which approach replaces the other: it connects all three.
CTEM IN LION FOCUS
Every stage of the cycle, supported by the platform.
Lion Focus provides Attack Surface Management (ASM) capabilities and extends that visibility with monitoring, exposure analysis, offensive validation and risk-based prioritization, through an approach aligned with CTEM principles.
SCOPING AND DISCOVERY
Discovery and Monitoring
You define what to observe. Lion Focus discovers the assets, services, technologies and exposures on the attack surface and follows what changes, continuously.
PRIORITIZATION
Risk-Based Prioritization
Combine severity, validation, exploitability and context to concentrate effort on the risks that actually need attention.
VALIDATION
Offensive Validation
Validate the exposures you find and analyze possible attack vectors, to understand how they could be used against your organization.
MOBILIZATION
Reduced Exposure
Follow how risks are treated and mitigated, to understand how the organization's exposure changes over time.
